About me.

A mum from Halifax who is also an artist. I have always been creative. As a child I would make everything on Blue Peter! Growing up I got my A level in Art, then to Dewsbury college gaining a distinction in Art & Design. From there to Bradford University gaining my degree in Art & Design where I specialised in ceramics.

I saved up and bought myself a kiln and set up my own business making ceramic sculptures which I sold to the public and retail. After years of working for myself I went through a divorce and my art went on the back burner.

I hit rock bottom, I lacked confidence and self belief. Art is such a big part of my life, taking it out of the equation I had no release. It was time to find me. Fast forward, I met my partner and had two beautiful children, my sparkle came back.

We were in Hebden Bridge and a man who I know asked if I still did art. I said no, he asked if I would do a collection of paintings for his shop and I thought yes why not! They started to sell and people wanted more and more!

I started to grow in confidence and thought that maybe this is my time to do something for me. So I started to push my work and the orders kept coming! I created 9 x A1 paintings for the birth centre Halifax, businesses started to recognise me and my work went from strength to strength.

I feel like I am a strong powerful woman now and I can tackle whatever life throws at me, I feel my work reflects this. With so much in the pipeline to look forward to, most of all creating for my wonderful customers. Please follow my journey, challenge me. I create for you 🖤
