What's it all about?
Being a mum in a home with my two young boys and partner, mens mental health is just as important as womens to me. As the ambassador of the Womens Centre Halifax, I wanted to find a charity which was equally as amazing to work with but for men.
A year ago my partner went through a rough time and he felt like he needed someone else to talk to and help make sense of his emotions. He found Andys Man Club, a mens suicide prevention charity who offers peer to peer support groups across the UK.
They helped him now I want to help them. I got in touch and met up with the team in Halifax. I sketched out my idea which they instantly loved. I then painted my design of the man split in half, the black half feeling anxious, nervous, confused, bad thoughts, then after a meeting feeling brighter, alive, confident and positive. I put my design onto merchandise which is now for sale on my site.
I have been in touch with celebrities who are backing my brand, look out for the stories and posts on social media. Watch this space for the Andys Manclub Lee Wade Art Collection, so excited about this collaboration, more designs to come. I create for you. 🖤
